HYPNOSIS
|
MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will I be aware of what
is going on?
Can you make me do things I do not want to?
Is that like what Paul McKenna does on TV? |
|
You can be aware of everything
at all times unless YOU choose not to be.
No. You cannot be made
to do anything that you would not choose to do.
I use Hypnosis purely for Healing not for entertainment.

There is a part of your
brain that is never used and there is a part of your brain that
is only used for things that you do not have to think about. That
part of your brain remembers many things like how to blink &
breath without you being aware that those thoughts are taking
place. This is the part of your brain that gets you to your destination
without you consciously remembering every aspect of your journey.
It is the part of you that holds so many pieces of information,
on the patterns of your life. Sometimes the patterns of your life
need to be updated so that you can function more smoothly. Hypnosis
is so helpful for this, as it is the fastest way to access that
part of your brain which holds all those resources. When you access
your resources you can gain insights, on how to change behaviours
such as smoking, panic attacks, fear of spiders and create new
ways to enhance your life.
Another positive use for hypnosis is to experience a Past life
regression. Memories are an intricate part of you and are held
deep within your very being shaping the way you are today. Many
memories stem from life experiences, which may well, be long forgotten
but not lost to you, they are held in a certain part of your brain.
By finding the memory relating to your current situation you can
come to understand yourself and grow beyond your limitations.
You may feel nervous when considering a past life regression but
with caring guidance from Maria you will find it to be a very
positive experience, enabling you to shape your future in a new
light.
Sadly the use of Hypnosis as a healing tool is a highly misunderstood
practice. When you ask most people what they think hypnosis is,
their answer strongly resembles the images seen in a late-night
horror movie or a Paul McKenna type Television Show. They have
a vision of the hypnotist staring intently into a persons eyes,
forcing that person to do things against their will. Or they have
the misconception that a hypnotist will put them in a sleep like
trance where they have no control and no memory of it later.
Even religions recognise the usefulness of hypnosis when used
for helpful healing purposes. In 1847, the Roman Catholic Church
issued a decree that stated, in part, “Having removed all
misconceptions, … the use of hypnosis is indeed merely an
act of making use of physical media, and is not morally forbidden,
provided that it does not tend towards an illicit end.”
Now, in the twenty-first century, hypnosis is more widely used
by those in the healing professions, such as doctors, dentists,
psychologists, chaplains, pastors and social workers. There is
even a hypnotherapy organization exclusively for members of the
clergy. During a session of hypnosis you are in control at all
times. When you are in a hypnotic state, no matter how deep, and
given a suggestion that would be against your will, morals or
beliefs, you would do one of three things. You would either, reject
the suggestion by ignoring it completely and let it go or you
would object very strongly putting the hypnotist in their place
or come completely out of the hypnotic state and directly challenge
your hypnotist.
I have explained a little of what hypnosis is and how it works
and I hope that it helps you understand it better, removing any
misconceptions you may have had about this beneficial tool.
